Born in 1947, Bill Chapko earns a living as a chiropractor in Naples, Italy. He grew up in suburban Wayne, New Jersey and graduated with a BA in Philosophy from New York University in 1969. He lived 4 years in the S.F. Bay Area, 4 years in Boston and 6 months in Mexico before studying chiropractic for 4 years in Portland, Oregon. Since 1981 he has lived happily in Southern Italy with his American wife, Eva, and their four children. The writers that have influenced him the most are Nietzsche, A.S. Neill, Heraclitus, Fritz Perls, Alan Watts and Albert Camus.
